We always recommend using organic ingredients where ever possible.

Ingredients

75g Ground or whole almonds

75g Tiger nuts

2 Large Dried Figs

2 Dates

2 tbsp Cocoa powder

1 Medium Orange

1 tbsp Coconut oil

Method

Mix dry ingredients in a nutri-bullet, blender or similar; figs, tiger nuts, almonds & cocoa powder

Place the coconut oil and dates in a pan on a low heat to soften the dates.

Wet ingredients; Blast the orange in a blender on it's own, then add the softened warm dates and coconut oil mix. Then mix again in the blender.

Finally add the dry mix to the wet mix in the blender and blast to make a truffle style consistency. Add ground almonds to add thickness until your desired consistency.

Dust in cocoa powder to 'seal' the wet balls to give then a non-sick outer coating.

Roll up into ball, leave to cool in the fridge.

Chocolate coating

The outer chocolate coating is optional but gives the full 'truffle' feel or experience if you're trying to impress someone!

3 tbsp Coconut oil

2 Dates

2 tbsp Cocoa powder

Melt the coconut oil in a pan on a low heat. Add the dates to soften and mix together by hand in the pan.

Mix the softened date and coconut oil with the cocoa powder and mix in a small electric grinder to make a smooth chocolate liquid.

Dip the balls in the chocolate mix and place on a tray to put in the fridge to cool and harden.

Serve with a smile & enjoy!
